ABOUT

Renegade Arts and Theatre Society =
Quality Theatre + Creating Conversation + Inspiring Change

The Renegade Arts & Theatre Society is a forum for creative expression in the performing arts. Founded in June 2006, we can be traced back to the high school days of our founding members who discovered the potential theatre has for expression and creating dialogue. RATS is now the result of an enduring desire to keep contributing to this conversation in an artistic and meaningful manner while simultaneously raising awareness about critical issues.

We consciously select plays that raise awareness, provide quality entertainment and leave an impression on our audience.

All profits acquired through corporate sponsorship and ticket sales have been forwarded to the various causes across the city that have include organisations supporting domestic workers rights, daughters of Devadasi women and children with learning disabilities.
